We are Megan and Tom. On 1st January 2024, Megan was told she was going to be made redundant and the Bubble T business was going to be put up for sale. Myself and Tom decided we were going to take the leap and take over a small local business, as we had always dreamed of. A good starting position for becoming business owners. We bought the business with £1000 in the bank and decided to go from there. We bought stock & supplies and opened on 1st February 2024.
In June, we made contact with a local landlord on Street High Street. We knew we had to go for it. We took over a lease, and began to make the shop our own. Alongside all of this, Megan was still working 6 days a week at Bubble T, and Tom was still working full time as a chef to be able to keep things running at home!
We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out and we are so happy that we are both with our businesses full time, getting to meet new customers every day, and building a team of amazing staff.
